Angela Briney’s Interview | her Journey and Conversion to Polygamy

Listen to Angela Briney’s interview by Lindsay Hansen Park (Year of Polygamy Podcast).

Angela Briney's Interview

Hi guys!  In this interview you will hear me talk about my life journey – how I grew up in a mainstream Christian culture and found my way to choosing polygamy.  This interview is really special to me as I get to tell my story unedited, uncut, and unsliced and diced!  Lindsay was able to get details out of me that I wasn’t sure I would ever tell.  She is truly gifted at her craft, pulling out more depth to my story (and my family’s) than what could or would ever be shown on television.

You will hear me discuss…

*how I grew up

*my religious conversions

*previous marriages

*April and I meeting and her introducing me to Drew

*Drew’s and my courtship and marriage

*my miracle pregnancy and baby (and what Drew did to help)

*my passion for advocacy and the archaic anti-polygamy laws in Utah

    1. Sounds simple, right? Only until it goes against our personal biases. What seems simple isn’t always easy ~ we get that. Thank you for your support!

  1. I’m half way through (and have to go to sleep!) but it’s fascinating and I love hearing Angela’s story. Really glad you ended up in a great family and with a man you love and can match wits with. You two seem very happy.

  2. Very informative and interesting. Listen and be open minded to all people. Even though something isn’t for us doesn’t mean God doesn’t love them equally. Unfortunately the show sensationalized the negative drama. Don’t we all have drama in our lives? Thanks for the open honest candid interview. God bless your family.

    1. Thank you, Theresa! Our family was unfortunately going through a hard time during filming, but yes, even then it was sensationalized. And yes, we all have drama. Most aren’t so dumb to go on national television and risk exposure. Haha. I’m glad you enjoyed the interview. God bless you, too!

  3. Good luck to your fam. I know Drew and April. We definately see what we want to see, or believe what we want to believe, to justify our actions at times. But what really matters is what in fact is the complete truth on this very misunderstood practice since the days of Adam.

    1. Thank you! Yes, we are all subject to that. That’s where we hope accurate discernment comes in and God keeps us from folly!

  4. Hi Angela
Wondering if you hope to have more children? I know it was tough getting pregnant but just curious. If so I wish you nothing but the best of luck ❤
    Hope to hear back.

    1. Thank you, Cherie! I most definitely would like to, despite feeling intimidated by the prospect at 43 and fumes for energy! 😉 We’ll see what God decides is best.
